OOLONG WHITE TIP
White Tips is a large darker leaf oolong with downy white tips. From Taiwan it is also called Bai Hao and is known as “Oriental Beauty”. The origin of this name dates back to the early 20th century when a British tea merchant presented a sample of this tea to Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen was captivated by the special aroma and taste of Bai Hao. Because of the tea’s lovely appearance, like a beautiful lady, and its origin in Asia, the Queen named it “Oriental Beauty”. It has sweet, almost honey like flavor with a hint of nut and light fruit. Pairs well with meats and bread, meat pies, brown rice and grilled fish and roasted vegetable. Any dessert with flavors of nut, vanilla or pastries.
