Wuyi tea comes from the mountains of northern Fujian. It is 60-80% oxidized and roasted, giving it a dark leaf that has a deep taste of smokiness and depths of fruit. It is referred to as “rock tea” due to its distinct terroir with a high mountain rocky soil and high mineral content. Pairs well with Chocolate, smoked Turkey, smoked meats, duck, grilled meats, fruit chutney, fruit pies.
Serve with a side of bourbon or scotch.
